Persuasive Essay Topics That Dont Require a Bibliography

Persuasive Essay Topics That Don't Require a BibliographyUsing persuasive essay topics that don't require a bibliography may be more challenging than writing about a topic that does. This is because many people do not have prior experience with an author's written works, and they simply cannot judge whether or not a particular bibliography is appropriate. However, some people, perhaps those who write regularly on the internet, seem to think that this is some sort of trick.A bibliography is a document containing the names and affiliations of individuals whose work is quoted in a piece of literature. It can also include the names and affiliations of organizations and public institutions which are associated with the source of the information. However, in order to use a bibliography, one has to make sure that the bibliography and information contained therein are appropriate. If a person simply cannot follow a bibliography without having a prior understanding of the history of the publi cation in question, it is generally considered bad form to make use of the bibliography at all.The first step in making use of a bibliography in an essay is to determine whether or not the bibliography is actually necessary. For example, if an author is quoting from a book or article which is going to be published on a website for publication elsewhere, it is probably not necessary to use a bibliography. In fact, this is often considered as a sign of lazy research and poor writing, since a reader would be able to find out the information they need on their own.To make sure that a bibliography is necessary, the bibliography should be important. First of all, it should contain the right authors and sources; otherwise, the bibliography is only a list of name and affiliation. Secondly, the bibliography should be updated on a regular basis. In other words, it should contain all of the names and affiliations of the proper authors and sources in order to keep up with modern scholarship.Fin ally, the bibliography should provide examples of the sources used in the essay, so that the reader can make use of them as well. One thing that makes a good bibliography is that it is a reference book that contains the proper sources. Unfortunately, many books on the internet, such as this one, don't contain the proper sources, as most books that are included here are published by large publishing companies. Therefore, when using this bibliography, the readers must rely on the examples provided. There are several methods that can be used to write persuasive essay topics that don't require a bibliography. The first thing that someone should do when trying to write an essay using a topic that doesn't require a bibliography is to go over the piece of literature itself. Reading the piece will allow the reader to read the piece from the perspective of the author, which can prove to be an invaluable skill for the essayist. It is also important to go over the piece from the perspective of t he reader, as the essay should support the author's point of view, rather than the other way around. It can also be a good idea to read through the material in a magazine before attempting to write the essay. This can provide the reader with ideas about how to read the essay. This last tip is particularly useful when writing persuasive essay topics that don't require a bibliography. In order to become an effective essayist, it is important to understand the points of view that an audience has regarding the subject matter. This can be achieved by reading the topic in a magazine, or even by reading through it in an article online.

The Destiny of the Unevangelized Debate Free Essay Example, 1500 words

â€Å"The pluralist holds onto the belief that a good number of ways usually lead to God. On the other hand, the inclusivist believes that many  ways, primarily those in the global religions, lead to God, and finally, the particularist affirms that there is only one way to God that is through personal faith in Jesus Christ†5. Re-examining General Revelation When it comes to human know how, it is generally believed that Romans 2:14-16 (New Revised Standard Version) gives the basis for Gentiles potentially and most innately cultivating a relationship with God through â€Å"the Law that is written in their hearts. † However, there are two significant problems with this view. First, the notion that individuals come to know God by use the works of the Law is contrary to biblical believe (Rom. 3:20, New Revised Standard Version); and second, the witness of the Gentile ethics in this passage occurs not in the in the due course of this life but in the ultimate judgment (Rom. 2:16, New Revised Standard Version). The main idea that comes behind pure inclusivism is not that Christ, or Christ’s cross is not necessary, but that our understanding of that work of sacrifice is not necessary. Hawkins had a business model that relied on strategic partners to perform business tasks such as manufacturing and distribution. Hawkins strategy is to generate ideas to promote increased efficiency and cost reduction while striving to predict future consumer needs. For example, the Visor â€Å"can morph into just about any handheld device you can imagine, from a pager to an MP3 player to a global-positioning satellite receiver, simply by replacing a small module on its back† (Time, Inc., 2005). Facebook fan pages can gain brand value for businesses (Doreian and Stokman, 2013). Facebook is a source of news and information. It is a pool of knowledge filled with latest news and updates from various aspects. By subscribing or liking a page, it is possible to gather all kinds of news and info all around the globe. Video chatting: Facebook provides personal video chatting experience incorporated within it. It can also be used a photo and video hosting site, store collection of albums and download anytime. Disadvantages: The most significant disadvantage of Facebook is it gives people the chance to create more than one profile at a time; as a result it is filled with lots of fake profiles mostly created by stalkers. These fake profiles can be used for bad purposes and cause unethical issues. Moreover, youngsters fall victim to these fake profiles and make friends with them which can bring a lot of troubles if they attempt to trust them. Another disadvantage is people tend to get addicted and spend too much time using Facebook as it has so many ways to know what their friends are up to, engage so many varieties of entertainment and game applications. Ello as a Social Network: Ello is a social networking website with no advertisements. Ello has been termed as the New Facebook, anti-Facebook ad-free social network and lots more. The uniqueness that distinguishes Ello from any other social networking site is its promise of never selling information to third parties and providing an ad-free alternative (Hampton, Goulet, Rainie and Purcell, 2011). What Ello Offers: Invitations: Ello is exclusive in its ways. It provides memberships to its users. It is invite-only. Interested people need to find out someone who uses Ello or request an invite in their site. Real name policy: Unlike Facebook, Ello allows their users to use any name they want. It does not necessarily have to be their real name. Ello uses a simple design for its website. Paul Budnitzs had an innovative idea that completely differs with the main idea behind Facebook. Ello is made for artists and not for everyone. It is artsy and minimalist. It provides all the facilities of social networking minus the overflow of silly status updates every second and pop-up ads (Lin and Lu, 2011). Technical features of Ello: Account set-up: Ello just needs an email address to set up an account. Birth date or other details like gender are not required. Friends and Noise: it is a cool feature to divide people into two groups. Ello limits updates from noisy ones. Privacy: Ello offers a more promising privacy setting than Facebook. User information is not given to third parties. It has limited invitations and users can maintain anonymity. Advantages and Disadvantages of Ello: Advantages: Ello is achieving success at an early stage due to the innovative idea behind it. Ello does not treat users as products. Most social networking sites track user activities and record them to show more relevant ads in future. But Ello does not do that. Disadvantages: Ello is still in beta testing, so bugs are expected. Moreover, it promises to remain ad-free for life and free of cost to the users but to collect revenues Ello offers to add special features to a user account with an exchange for a small fee. One of its major drawbacks is many people do not yet use it. Everyone is still more familiar with Facebook and Twitter. Moreover, it does not let people find a specific person unless they know their user names. Experience Project as a Social Network: Experience Project is all about sharing personal stories and life experiences. It is built around anonymity. It offers various online groups and communities where the members can submit their confessions and experiences. What Experience Project Offers: Users are allowed to start a story and upload photos as a typical tool for socializing where people can recognize themselves for what they have done. Experience Project has a lot of negative as well as positive experiences (Thuseethan and Kuhanesan, 2014). It revolves around the experiences and ideas of members. Technical features of Experience Project: This site includes following features: Blogs, confessions: Allows writing personal blogs and anonymous confessions. Trivia games: it allows users to play trivia games. Has a search option to look for songs matching a particular mood. It also has features to add friends and private chatting. Experience Project is presently used by more than 15 million people. Advantages and Disadvantages of Experience Project: It allows discovering people with similar stories and similar interests. Members with the same list of experience are connected automatically (Wang and Amin, 2013). Many people seek help and look for advice and suggestions online through this site. With this site, people have the freedom to share their views and express their thoughts to others and connect with people having common stories. A lot of negative experiences can be seen on this website such as people who are battling depression or a divorce, but the idea around which this site was built serves its purposes correctly. Conclusion Todays world is driven by social media and social networking. It is the modern form of socializing. Each of these websites has something different to offer. Although a lot of people who are tired of using Facebook switched to Ello for a change, Facebook is still going on with the highest number of users active on their site (Wodzicki, Schwmmlein, and Moskaliuk, 2012). A person can use all these sites for different purposes that they are designed to serve. To conclude, social media is still rising and has evolved to become an inevitable part of modern citizens. He then gazes at the other trail and decides the out come of going down that path would be just as nice. At this point he concludes that the trail that has been less traveled on would be more rewarding when he reaches the end of it. The man then decides that he will save the other path for another day. Even though he knows in his head that one path leads to another and that you don't get a chance to go back and do things over in life. The man then say that he will be telling this story with a "sigh" someday in the future. The sigh suggests that he will wonder what life would have been like if he had chosen the more walked path even though the path he choose has made all the difference.

Philadelphia The Movie Essays - NYPD Blue, Andy Bernard, Andy Taylor

Philadelphia The Movie Essays - NYPD Blue, Andy Bernard, Andy Taylor Philadelphia The Movie Philadelphia The movie, Philadelphia, was an excellent example of the severe discrimination many people with Aids are exposed to. In this instance the main character, Andy ,was also gay. Unfortunately, in our society, he was faced with a double whammy. The gay iss is controversial enough, but to compound that in the work force with having Aids would be almost unbearable for any person to cope with. Tom Hanks played Andy with a serious need to communicate to the viewers how everyday life, work, emotions and ment well being are affected by this kind of situation. The movie was well cast and thoughtfully portrayed Andy's serious predicament. The theme was very interesting. It made me realize how lucky I am to not have to deal with those kinds of problems. It's really very frightening to realize, as Andy did, that even our legal system can be discriminating. When he started looking for a lawyer, he found many people who did not want to represent him because of his illness. The frustration he felt must have been a real burden. Most people were afraid of him. Even the man who finally represented him was afraid of him. He soon came to understand Andy was no threat to his health or his reputation, but someone he learned from and ended up becoming friends. Andy himself feared his disease even before he was sure he had it. He did not want to go for his blood test. He didn't want to face the reality of having Aids. He really didn't have any choice. After the doctor confirmed his fears and diagnosed him having Aids, Andy began to deal with the news and the way it was changing his life and how people treated him. His employer was trying to shaft him. He fought for his rights, not knowing what the outcome would be, but knowing this was something he felt he must do. The turning point in the movie for Andy was when he was in the library trying to learn more about Aids. He was asked by the librarian to go to a private room. His lawyer was there and saw this happening, although he was hiding behind a pile of books. I guess this is when he realized Andy needed him to help protect his rights. It killed me to think just because someone has an illness people don't understand that they can let their ignorance make them behave in a way they normally wouldn't. To tell you the truth I can't honestly say I would have acted any different then the librarian did !!! The lawyer took the book Andy was holding out of his hand to show the librarian he was not afraid getting the disease by touching something Andy had touched. Andy must have felt one hell of a big relief when that happened !!! He finally had someone on his side. I hated the firm Andy worked for. At first they seemed okay, but after they tried shafting Andy, I was really pissed. He worked for them, produced for them, was an asset to their business and then they just blew him off. The blowing him off part wasn as bad as how they tried to do it. They tried to make him look like a loser. They cut down his work, his character, his abilities as an employee. What gives them the right to try and destroy someone's life Especially someone whose life is being destroyed anyway by the disease he has. The illness didn't affect the way he did his job or how well he did it. They were just a bunch of ignorant morons who didn't care about anything other than how having someone with Aids working for them would make them and their business look..... and in their opinions it could ruin them. So, just fire the guy to cover their own asses. What a bunch of shit !!!! Especially coming from the very institution that was supposed to help protect peoples' rights, law yers! The whole system must have really gotten to Andy. Especially because he was a part of that very same system. I agreed with the verdict of the trial hands down. It really made

Vis-à-vis Has More Than One Use

Visvis Has More Than One Use Visvis Has More Than One Use Visvis Has More Than One Use By Maeve Maddox A French borrowing, visvis [VEEZ-uh-VEE] means literally, â€Å"face to face.† Visvis as a noun One meaning of visvis is â€Å"a political or diplomatic counterpart.† For example, a commenter in a Thai political forum refers to the US president as â€Å"Putin’s vis-a-vis in the White House.† Other meanings for visvis as a noun include â€Å"dancing partner,† â€Å"person seated opposite,† â€Å"conversational partner,† etc. Here are examples: No, replied  his vis-a-vis, with a falling inflection The man looked suspicious, and exchanged glances with  his vis-a-vis: both were middle-aged, and of the very middle class. She did not wish to  dance; she was faint- she had no  vis-a-vis. As a noun, visvis can also mean meeting, interview, or rendezvous: Thus, a  suitor  having a discreet  vis-a-vis with  his beloved would cautiously ascertain her fathers whereabouts Visvis as an adverb The literal meaning is implicit in the use of visvis as an adverb, like this example from a movie site: All the star teams dancing efforts are honeys. Miss Rogers in this one goes beyond the role of dancing vis-a-vis for Astaire and emerges as a corking stepper in her own right. Note: This quotation uses for, but to and with are more common when the adverb takes a preposition: â€Å"dancing vis-a-vis to Astaire,† â€Å"seated vis-a-vis with her uncle.† Here are two more examples of adverbial use: Dancing vis-a-vis  they again sidestepped and each position was repeated five or six times. The design represents two females,  seated, vis-a-vis, upon chairs without  backs. Visvis as an adjective In cruising the Web for examples to use in this post, I came upon a Mercedes advertisement for the Ares Atelier, S Class XXL. The description boasts â€Å"Vis-a-vis first class seats.† These are seats arranged so that passengers face one another. Visvis in corporate-speak Visvis is frequently met in writing about government and business, in which the term is used to mean regarding, concerning, relating to, compared with, with respect to, or re. Here are examples of this usage: History of US policy vis-a-vis Cuba inconsistent at best That’s one of the reasons the President made the decision he made vis-a-vis US companies in the telecommunications area. Moscow has visibly hardened its stance vis-a-vis the West even as President Vladimir Putin arrived in Milan late Thursday for the ASEM summit With the rise of Spender and Whitlam as dominant influences in the early 1950s, Australia’s policy became marked by an emphasis on the distinct nature of moral human rights  vis-a-vis  legal human rights. Note: The OED, Merriam-Webster, and The Chicago Manual of Style all show visvis with the accent, but most of the examples I found were written without an accent. The expression is not italicized. The use of visvis to mean â€Å"with respect to† seems to me to be an unnecessary obfuscation and waste of the â€Å"face-to-face† sense. Writers who desire to decorate their writing with a French expression that means â€Å"with regard to† or â€Å"in respect of,† can always fall back on apropos.
